The Teylers Museum is the oldest public museum in the Netherlands, and was established by a private collector in 1784. It contains a broad collection of displays, including drawings by Michelangelo, Raphael, and Rembrandt. The museum’s collection also includes a number of fossils, minerals, skeletons, some scientific instruments, and a number of unusual inventions. The inventions include the worlds largest electrostatic generator, which was constructed in the late 18th century, and a 19th century radarscope.
