The ’t Veertje Mill in the town of Hellouw is a rather unique and interesting watermill mill. It was built in 1996 using parts gathered from several other mills. The rods and ash came from an old mill in Spaarndam, and the gears came from a mill in Wormerveer that had been dismantled in 1950. The two wheels were manufactured specially for this mill, by the millmaker Mr Rem. The mill is open to the public by appointment only.
