The ’t Nupke Mill was built in 1843. The mill originally had no name, but when it was re-opened in the 1970s, the first voluntary miller decided to give it the name ’Nupke’, or ’Bump’, after the small artificial hill on which the mill was built. The Nupke Mill is still in use as a corn mill today, and is considered to be a living monument. The mill is open to the public every Saturday.
