The Steam Tram Museum in Hoorn is devoted to the history of the steam tram in the Netherlands, and looks at the role played by rural rail transport in the development of the Netherlands between the years 1879 and 1966. The Steam Tram museum has purchased and restored a large collection of steam trams from throughout the years and operates a tourist steam tram on the Hoorn to Medemblik railway line in the summer months.
