The Stadhuis in Enschede is something of a local landmark. It is located not far from the Grote Kerk, and was co-incidentally built in the same year – 1933. The building features a brown brick tower which is topped by four blue and gold clocks . The tower design is based on the Stockholm Stadhuis, which was designed by Ragnar Östberg. The interior features some rich mosaics, lush carpets, and numerous works of art.
