The New Life Mill was built in the early part of the 19th century. It was originally called ’The Swallow’, but has since been re-named. The mill originally served the Boterpolder, but was made redundant in 1973 when the water board merged that polder with the Noordplas polder. The mill was then converted into a village corn mill. The New Life Mill was restored in 1990, and is open to the public every Saturday.
