Museum Bredius is a museum displaying a collection of paintings that were donated to the city from the private collection of art connoisseur and former director of the Mauritshuis, Abraham Bredhuis, in 1946. The collection includes two paintings by Rembrandt, and some genre paintings by Roelandt Savery and Aert van de Neer. There are also some interesting works by Jan Steen, including the ‘Satyr and the Peasant’, which is Steen’s take on the well known Aesop Fable.
