The Molen van Schoterveenpolder is located on the western side of the city of Haarlem. It was built in the early 17th century, and is also known as ’The Stoop’. The mill is located in a small park, surrounded by low rise buildings that interfere with the operation of the mill. Currently, the mill can only operate well during a westerly wind. The Molen van Schoterveenpolder is owned by the town of Haarlem, and is open to the public every Saturday.
