The Jansmolen is an historic water mill located near Peansterdyk in the town of Goëngahuizen. The exact date of its construction is unkown, but it is believed that the mill dates back to the 19th century. The Jansmolen was bought by the Fryske Mill Foundation in 1978, the foundation owns several mills in the area, and does a lot of restoration and preservation work on historic mills. The mill was decommissioned in 1990, and is in need of restoration work. The Jansmolen is not currently open to the public.
