Hortus Haren is the biggest botanical garden in the Netherlands, covering almost 20 hectares. The garden contains plants from all over the world, and there is something interesting to see no matter what time of year. The oldest garden in Hortus Haren is the Laarman, which features a large arboretum and a deciduous forest. There are several other gardens, including a water garden, a bamboo garden, an English themed one, and Ogham – a Celtic garden featuring gods, legends, and fairies from ancient mythology.
