The Heechhiem is an historic water mill located near Peansterdyk in the town of Goëngahuizen. The exact date of its construction is unkown, but it is believed that the mill dates back to the 18th century. In 1978, the Heechhiem was bought by the Fryske Mill Foundation. The mill has been idle since 1995. The Heechheim mill is currently cared for by Mr. P. van Dellen, and is open to the public. Tours of the mill are available by appointment.
