Groningen Centraal Station
Centraal Station, Stationsweg, Groningen - Netherlands

Map
The train station in Groningen was built in 1896 – it was very expensive to construct, and was one of the grandest and most impressions stations of its day. The station features lavish decorations, with symbolic designs on Art Nouveau tiles which were manufactured at the Rozenburg factory in The Hague. Although much of the station has been modernised, the old first and second class waiting rooms have been well preserved, and retain their classic high Gothic style. They now serve as restaurants.
