The Dolphinarium in Harderwijk was one of the first of its kind, and set a great example for other marine parks around the world. The Dolphinarium started out as a small park, and grew quickly due to its success and popularity. Unfortunately, the killer whales that were originally housed here had to be re-homed at Sea World in Florida because the habitats at The Dolphinarium were too small. There are a number of shows throughout the day, and visitors can watch dolphins, sea lions and walruses in action.
