The De Wilde corn mill was built in the late 19th century for Leonardus M. Kouwenberg. The mill suffered heavy damage in a fire in 1936, but was restored the following year. The De Wilde Corn mill has been owned by the Akkermolens Goirle Foundation since 1997, and is now used to produce flour for local bakeries, as well as for sale to individuals. The De Wilde mill is open to the public every Saturday.
