The De Welvaart Mill is a 19th century corn mill in the town of Groessen. The name of the mill roughly translates to ’The Prosperity’. The exact age of the mill is unknown, but it is thought to have been built sometime between 1852 and 1878. The mill was decommissioned in 1984, and suffered heavy damage in a fire which broke out in the basement of the building in 1995. Today, only the hull of the mill remains.
