The De Visscher Mill was built in 1870 for the De Visscher family, as an addition to a 17th century water mill. In 1903, the mill complex was sold to Mr. J. Botermans, and the water mill was demolished. In 1944, the windmill suffered heavy damage during a German artillery attack. The De Visscher Mill is now owned by the Akkermolens Goirle Foundation. The mill can regularly be seen in operation, and is open to the public every Saturday morning.
