De Stoop Windmill
Jan Haringstraat, 2023 JZ Haarlem - Netherlands

Map

The De Stoop Windmill is located on Jan Haringstraat in Haarlem. It is a hollow post mill that was once used to drain the land and create polders – areas of dry land that were separated from natural bodies of water by canals and dikes. The De Stoop windmill is no longer in active use, however it can sometimes be seen turning depending on the weather. Visitors can view the inside of the mill, and learn about how mills work, and their uses in Dutch history.
