Map
The De Maagd, or ’The Virgin’, is a traditional corn mill located on Kapelweg in the town of Hulshorst. It was built in 1894 for J. de Rooy, and was later owned by H. van der Koot. The mill was extensively restored in 1960, and later had a mechanical grain feed added. The current owner is Mr. G Ammersfoort. The mill is open to visitors on Thursdays and Saturdays, with appointments available on other days. It is best to call ahead to confirm times. The flour produced at the mill is sold to bakers in the local community.
