The Juffer is a relatively new mill that was built by the Dutch Mill Society in 1971. The mill is an interesting example of how the design of windmills has evolved over the years. Windmills are an important part of Dutch history, having been used to reclaim areas of land from the sea, and grind to grind corn and grain for consumption by both humans and animals. The Juffer Mill is open to the public every Wednesday and Saturday.
