The De Hoop Mill is a traditional oil mill that was built in 1843 for Mr J. Pieters. The belonged to the Pieters family for two generations. In 1860 it was converted to run on steam power, and in the early 20th century an electric motor was added. The mill was closed down in 1961, and was not reopened until 1975, after extensive restoration work had been performed. Today, the mill is used to produce feed for animals. The mill is open to the public.
