The Boezemmolen 6 is one of several mills historic mills in the town of Haastrecht. This particular mill was built in 1873, to replace a much older mill that had been destroyed during a fire. The Boezemmolen 6 was originally used as a water mill, but was later decommissioned and converted into a mill house. In 2005, the mill was bought by the South Holland Landscape foundation, who started restoration work. The restoration work is expected to take several years.
