The Bisschopsmolen was built in 1774 for Mr. G. P. de Herzelles, the Bishop of Antwerp, to replace a centuries-old post mill. Between 1832 and 1959, the mill had several different private owners. In 1959, the decaying mill was sold to the town of Etten-Leur for the symbolic amount of one guilder. The Bisschopsmolen is in working order, and can regularly be seen in use. The mill is open to the public every Saturday afternoon.
