Achterlandse Mill

The Achterlandse Mill is an historic water mill in the town of Groot-Ammers. It was built at the end of the 16th century, at the same time as the Achtkante Mill, and the Graaflandse Mill. The mill was closed down in 1969 when an electrical pump took over its work. The mill is now owned by the Foundation for the Conservation of Mills in the Alblasserwaard and Vijfheerenlanden. The mill is not currently open to the public.
