The Windlust Mill was built in 1787 to replace an older mill which had been destroyed in a fire in 1785. The mill was originally owned by B. V. Bremer. The Windlust Mill has had a large amount of restoration work performed on it recently, but is still largely authentic. The mill is now maintained by the Kollummerland Mill Foundation, and can regularly be seen in operation. The Windlust is now open to the public.
