Wester-Amstel is one of the oldest remaining estates in the Amstelveen area. The first recorded indication of the existence of the estate dates back to the 16th century. It is listed on the ’Die Chaerte of Amstelland’ – the oldest known map of the region. The estate has had many different owners throughout the centuries, and is now owned by Soren L. Movig, who has leased the estate to a municipal organisation. There are regular public events held in the park grounds of the estate.
