The Waag, or Weigh House in Deventer is a late – gothic building with a grand external stair case. The buiding was constructed in 1528, and sits next to the House of the Three Herrings. The two buildings are now both home to the Municipal Museum of Antiquities, which houses a number of exhibits related to the history of the local area. The wall of the Waag displays a copper cauldron which was once used to execute counterfeiters by boiling them in oil.
