The Torture Museum is a small museum dedicated to forms of punishment, interrogation and execution throughout history. The museum offers educational tours, and gives visitors a look at such instruments of pain and terror as ’the heretic fork’ and ’the inquisition chair’, with the aim of reminding us how brutal and violent things were just 200 years ago. The museum does not take long to explore, but is well worth an hour of your time in between other nearby attractions such as Madamme Tussaud’s or the Rembrandthuis.
