The Wieker Mill was originally built in 1764, in the Staphorster Leijen area, but was dismantled, and rebuilt in De Wijk in 1829. The mill is a traditional corn mill with two flock grind stones. It was converted to run on diesel power for a short time, but has since been restored to its original design. It was bought by the Wieker Mill Foundation in 1996, and is now ran by two millers – Erwin de jonge, and Henry Oosterveen. The mill is open to the public every Saturday afternoon.
