The Polder Mill is one of several windmills belonging to the Dutch Open Air Museum. The mill was first built in 1862, and served the Noordlaren Oostpolder. The mill was moved to its current location in 1953, and restored to working order by 1957. The mill is now owned by the Dutch Open Air Museum Foundation. The mill can regularly be seen in operation, and is open to the public. The museum millers are willing to demonstrate the mill, and given visitors an explanation of how it works.
