Carnegieplein 2, Den Haag - Netherlands

Map

The Peace Palace is a relatively modern building, it was constructed between 1907 and 1913, with much of the funding coming from donations made by Andrew Carnegie. The building houses an extensive library, the Permanent Court of Arbitration, the International Court of Justice, and the International Law Academy. The building is surrounded by a large courtyard and gardens, designed by landscape artist Thomas Mawson. The estate is open to the public, although tickets for a tour must be booked in advance.
