The New Mill is a relatively modern corn mill, and is an interesting counterpart to the nearby 16th century ’Old mill’. The New Mill was built in 1864, and was in use as a commercial corn mill until 1990. Since then, the mill has stood idle, and its condition has seriously deteriorated. The mill was recently sold to the Rose Family, who are currently in the process of restoring The New Mill to working order.
