The Morning Star Mill was built in 1870, to replace an older mill that had been destroyed in a fire. The mill was built by Rogen te Aarlanderveen, using parts from an older, decommissioned mill from Utrecht. The Morning Star mill was restored in 1963, and is in a very good condition. The mill is now owned by the Veenhuizen family. One of the upper attics has been converted into a private residence.
