The Mars corn mill was built in 1834 on the behalf of Philips Schlecht. It is an 8 side stellingmolen. This design of mill was very popular in the 19th century, because the high sails allow it to catch an optimal amount of wind, and the walkway around the middle of the mill lets the miller safely reach the sails for maintainance. The Mars mill has been recently restored, and is open to the public Monday to Saturday each week.
