The Lion Mill is a small corn mill located on Zijdstraat in the centre of Aalsmeer. The mill was 1863, and is one of the most well known sights in the town. The mill has had several owners. The last private owner converted the mill into a house in 1970. The town bought the mill several years later, and began a major restoration project in 1994. The mill is open to the public every Tuesday and Saturday.
