The Gooyer Mill is a working corn mill located on Funenkade in the city of Amsterdam. It was built in 1725 to replace a 100 year old wooden post mill. The Gooyer mill was originally owned by the Willemsz Brothers from Gooiland. It was originally called the ’Goyermolen’, and its current name is an evolution of that spelling. The mill was decommissioned in 1920, and began to decay. It was bought by the municipality in 1928, and restored the following year.
