The Dikkert Mill was built in 1896 as as a wind and steam-driven grain mill. The mill was decommissioned in 1929, but was restored with the help of the town in 1939. After the Second World War, the mill again began to decay. Some more restoration attempts were made, but the damage was very severe, and only the foundations and exterior of the mill were fully repaired. For safety reasons, the sails and rods were removed, and the mill is still idle today.
