The Kasteelmolen, or ’Castle Mill’ was built in the early 18th century. The mill originally belonged to the Baron of Baerlo. The mill was plagued with problems during the 19th century, because of low water levels. In 1950, an electric motor was installed to allow the mill to run when the water levels were not suitable. The mill is now owned by the Maasbree County, and has been restored working order. The Castle Mill is open to the public every Saturday.
