The Blokker Mill in Alblasserdam is an historic ’wipmolen’ style windmill. It is a very small mill, and was built in the mid 1500s. There have been many changes made to the mill over the years, both to the inner workings, and its outside appearance. In 1997 the mill was almost completely destroyed following an arson attempt. It has since been restored to working order, and is maintained by the local Foundation for the Conservation of Mills. Tours of the mill are available by appointment.
