The Big Mill is a 17th century polder mill located on the northern side of the Old Rhine. The mill was built in 1674 by Huybert Pietersz Heynen, to replace an older mill that had been destroyed in a fire. The Big Mill served the 1175 hectare Zuid and Noordeinerpolders until 1955. The mill was restored in 1957 by the Aarlanden Water Board. The Big Mill is now privately owned, and has been converted into a dwelling.
