The Teylers Museum is the oldest museum in the Netherlands. The museum covers natural history and science, and has a range of exhibits including fossils and minerals, drawings, paintings, antique scientific instruments, medals, and coins. The museums layout has not changed since the 18th century, making the museum itself a monument in tribute to more than two centuries Dutch history and culture. There is a more modern wing which plays host to temporary exhibitions.
