The ’t Roode Hert Mill was built in 1925 to replace a much older corn mill that had been destroyed in a fire caused by careless use of fireworks. The mill was built by Piet Berkhout, using parts from a demolished pelmolen from Zaandam. The ’t Roode Hert Mill is in very good condition, and can be seen in operation almost every day. The mill is open to the public Monday to Saturday each week.
