The Stommeermolen is located in the northern part of the town of Aalsmeer. It is a non-working mill. The original Stommeermolen was built in 1742. This mill was used as a water mill, but was destroy in 1919, after it was severely damaged when it was struck by lighting during a thunder storm. In 1920, a new mill was built on the same site. The mill is no longer in active use, but visitors can call the mill master to arrange a tour of the mill.
