The Stella Polaris corn mill was built in 1866 by the Bijel te Died family. The mill was closed down in 1955, and stood idle for many years, before it was bought by a lady from Bennekom, who converted it to a dwelling. Since then, the mill has had several owners, although most of them did not stay there long, because the building is very cold and wet, and not really suitable for use as a home. The mill is in good condition, and is still used as a private residence today.
