The Steektermolen is a historic polder mill located just east of the Golden Rijpad in the town of Alphen Aan Den Rijn. The mill was built in 1597, to serve the 660 hectare Steekt polder. In 1962, there was an electric pump fitted in the mill. The Steektermolen is now owned by the Gouwelanden Water Board. The mill was restored in 2001, and is now in use as a reserve pump for the polder. The mill can be ran using electricity, or wind power.
