St Joriskerk is located on the edge of the picturesque Hof square in Amersfoort. There has been a church on the site for many centuries, and the present Gothic exterior was finished in 1534. The church is unusual in that the nave and the aisles are of equal height, with only the south porch adding variety to the outside view. There are still signs of the older Romanesque church building in the more modern tower.
