The Schuttersgalerij, or, Civic Guard Gallery is a small museum in Amsterdam which features a number of portraits of members of the Amsterdam Militia. The portraits span a wide period of time, and range from stern faced paintings of the 1540s to slightly lighter and more cheerful pictures from the 17th century. The pictures are arranged in a long glass passageway, and can be viewed for free. The Schuttersgalerij is a part of the Amsterdam Historic Museum.
