The Ruitersmolen in Beekbergen is an old water mill. In 1606, Marten Orges built a paper mill on one of the banks of the Beek. Later, a second mill was built on the other side. One of these mills was converted to a corn mill in 1843, and in 1864 the paper mill was destroyed in a fire. The mill was partially converted into a museum in 1985, with the attic containing exhibitions relating to paper making. Visitors can watch the mill in operation, and view a paper-making demonstration.
