The Rosmolen is a replica of an historic corn mill. The mill is located on Willem Lodewijkstraat in the town of Bourtange. The Rosmolen was built in 1988, and is a replica of a much older mill. The rosmolen is a horse-driven mill. These mills were commonly found on farms, and many villages had a ’Greater Rosmolen’ which would be driven by one or more donkeys. The Rosmolen is open to the public, and the current opening times can be found on the mill web site.
