The Rijksmuseum is considered by many to be the ’national treasure of the Netherlands’. The collection contains close to one million objects, including 17th century paintings by Rembrandt, Frans Hals, Jan Steen and Vermeer. Works are also on display from the 16th and 19th century, including Asian artwork, silver, delftware ceramics, and old dolls houses. The museum offers audio tours in several European languages, and a choice of tours for adults and families is available.
