The Paper Mill Museum is located in the former ’Achterste Molen’, which was originally built in the town of Loenen in 1654. Today, the mill is a part of the Dutch Open Air Museum in Arnhem. The museum is one of the last remaining traditional water powered paper mills in the country. During the summer, the millers run regular demonstrations showing how paper is made using hand-made pulp, which is pressed using a fine copper mesh, and then dried in the attic of the mill.
